The largest bill in Bangladesh is called Chalan Bill. Its spread across 3 districts. It is divided into four districts, eight upazilas, 60 unions, 1600 villages and 14 rivers of Rajshahi division. There are also many small and large water bodies. The famous Chalanbil is the wetland, monsoon and post-monsoon period that covers a wide area of Natore, Sirajganj and Pabna districts. These beels do not have water in the dry season. Then
Cultivation goes on the land of the bill. However, in the rainy season, the banks are filled with water and the posara of the form is arranged. July to October is the best time to visit Chalon-sur-Sane.
When the Brahmaputra changed its course and turned into the present Jamuna, Chalanbil was created. At the time of its formation, the area of the challan bill was about 1,006 sq km. Currently its size
It has come down a lot. According to the Imperial Gazetteer of India in 1919, the area of Chalon-Bil was 500 square miles or about 1424 square kilometers. On the other hand, according to the 1986 survey, the area of challan bill is 600 square miles or about 2062 km. At present, the area of challan bill has been reduced to 1150 sq km. There are many reasons behind shrinking. Silt in the bill during the monsoon season
Reading (222.5 million cubic feet), construction of unplanned houses, construction of about 55 km highway from Hatikumrul in Sirajganj to Bonpara in Natore for national needs. The south-eastern end of the bill extends to Ashtmanisha near Nunnagar in Pabna district. The widest part of it is the north-east corner. The largest part of the bill, from Singra in Natore to Kachikata on the banks of the Gumni, is about twenty-four.
Kilometers long. The eastern boundary of the beel extends from the eastern edge of Singra in Natore to the eastern bank of the river Bhadai in Tarash upazila of Pabna.
In fact, challan bills are the sum of many small bills

During the monsoons, the water flow in these beels increases and a huge beel is formed. The largest part of the challan bill falls in Natore. There is a large part of Chalanbil in Singra upazila of Natore district. Besides, a long road has been constructed from Hatikumrul in Sirajganj to Bonpara in the heart of Chalanbil. There are special parts of Chalanbil covering a large part of Raiganj and Tarash upazilas of Sirajganj district.
Several bills of challan bill have been read in these two upazilas. If you enter Bonpara road from Hatikumrul turn of Sirajganj, after going some distance, you will see the part of Chalanbil which is also in Tarash upazila of Sirajganj. The whole of the southern part from here is Chalanbil belonging to this district. Chatmohar upazila of Pabna district is part of Chalanbil, about five kilometers from Sadar.
Gajna, Bara, Sonapatila, Ghughudaha, Chiral, Gurka etc. are the largest beels in Pabna district. The area of Barabil is about 31 sq km and Sonapatila beel is about 35 sq km. Besides, two other large sections of the beel are located at Kurlia and Dixi beel Chatmohar with an area of 18 and 15 sq km respectively. In the rainy season, the bill is full of water.
Chatmohar can be reached by bus from Pabna district headquarters and from there by rickshaw to Chalanbil. The people here are very simple. They wake up in the morning and go out to cultivate the plow or to see the crop again. I spent most of my time beside Gajan's bill. When I was a child, I used to go to play football in Gajanar Beel, the fun of playing football is different in the slippery field full of wet mud.
In the opinion of the people of this region, the challan bill is their grain mine, in reality it is so. The soil here is fertile. When the beel dried up, the farmers planted rice seedlings in the fertile soil and burst into joy. They know they can fill their ammunition at low cost. Not only that, the fishing festival is going on here till the end of the monsoon

As such, Chalanbil is also a fish mine. There are various types of local fish including local putti, carrot, boal, shail, taki, tengra, patasi, khalsa, bain, kankala, chital, chela, icar, shing. There are lots of crabs in this huge fish stock.
Local boats are available for rent in Chalon-sur-Sane. A good quality boat for the whole day will cost from Rs.500 to Rs.600. Besides, engine boats will cost from Tk 1,000 to Tk 2,000. If you do not know how to swim, you must take a life jacket with you. When traveling by boat, do not make noise.
You can also take this opportunity to see the Chalonbil Museum. The museum is located at Khubjipur village in Gurudaspur upazila. Abdul Hamid, a local teacher, built this exceptional museum in his own house in 198 with his own efforts. In addition to the various patterns found in Chalon-Bil, various fishing equipment, there are many rare collections here. You can come to Gurudaspur Upazila by bus from Natore and cross the river from there by rickshaw to Khubjipur village.
